Lee Jung-hoo, whose first season in Major League Baseball (MLB) ended early due to a shoulder injury, will return home next month.

Lee's agency, Ricoh Sports Agency, announced today (July 27), “Lee Jung-hoo will arrive in the afternoon of the first day of next month.”

Lee is expected to speak about his first season in the major leagues and his rehabilitation process at Incheon International Airport.

After signing a massive six-year, $113 million (approx. KRW149.4 billion) contract with San Francisco last winter, Lee injured his shoulder on May 13 at Oracle Park against the Cincinnati Reds when he slammed into the fence while fielding a jump catch.

A magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan immediately revealed 파워볼실시간 “structural damage” to his left shoulder, requiring surgery and at least six months of rehabilitation.

Lee ended up playing in 37 games this year, batting .262 (38-for-145) with two home runs, eight RBIs, two doubles, and a .641 OPS in his first MLB season.

Lee plans to continue his rehabilitation with the goal of returning to full participation in spring training next February and playing in the regular season opener in 2025.
